Winter clothes. These get donated to thrift stores or placed in consignment shops so you might keep checking your local stores for these. Look on Craigs list and in local consignment shops for nearly new exercise equipment. However, I wait until spring and summer to buy decorations – and get them at garage sales.

If you have an uneasiness when it comes to “used” clothing, know that there are many different tiers of second hand stores. While the Salvation Army and Goodwill may require a bit more digging for quality wardrobe items, other consignment shops , like Second Time Around, have a strict pre-screening process. It’s a win-win-win.

Did you know that Americans dispose more than 700 billion pounds of paper, plastic, glass, wood, food, metal, clothing, electronics, etc. When you have mess to clean up, use cloth napkins, sponges, or dishclothes that can be washed instead of reaching for paper towels. 7000 billion pounds!!! Having a hard time comprehending this?!
