Who cooks at home anymore, many people eat out. Even if you do cook at home, have you ever worn an apron? They were used to protect clothing while cooking – to keep grease splatters and spills contained on the apron. Most clothing comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. Mom taught fourth grade.

I do remember when I was young, my mom using coupons but now that I think back on it, she was not using them the right way. I love to cook at home and it saves us a so much money. As I mention in another post, I did struggle when my kids were little but we made it through it. Use Coupons. We probably eat out once a month.

Families don’t/can’t take time to cook at home from scratch. With the advancing numbers of two income families, often there isn’t anyone at home to start the meal. Now we have Omar the tentmaker sizes available in every clothing store. We ate basic meals at home. Mom was a stay-at-home Mom.

We shopped at garage sales, turned down the heat, combined errands to use less gas, didn’t buy a lot of prepared food, cooked at home and the like. We mowed the grass, made our clothes, cleaned house, cooked , and fixed broken stuff. We didn’t have a clothes dryer. Peggy: Oh yes! That took forever!
