Although I live 200+ miles away from my two grandkids, I try to get them for a week or so during the summer. There are many documented benefits to utilizing grandparents to watch grandkids. The jury is out as to whether you should pay your parent to watch your children. I’m one of them.

The money in the IRA can be used during your lifetime, but then can accumulate tax free while the next guy in line for it takes minimum distributions over his life. This is because the money is protected in the tax deferred (or tax free) account and it can build significantly over time. There are two problems with that in my mind.
