We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Buy one then sell, donate or exchange it. Compost it by cutting it up and putting it on the pile. Like me, buy them used and then reuse them each year. Tip # 4 on decorations.

If you really want to send out paper invitations, use recycled or handmade paper and use a single sheet. Choose decorations that can be reused or that are made of natural materials and so can be recycled in the garden or compost. There are also ranges of tableware made from recycled plastic.
