I love to shop garage sales. Rent Don’t Buy. If your child is wanting to take music lessons, think about renting the instrument instead of buying. College students have the option of renting books now. There are multiple online sites that let students rent, buy used or sell books. Buy don’t rent.

Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes. You donate to suitable charities.

Choose a place to stay where you don’t need a car So many places I’ve traveled, I’ve deliberately picked a hotel or other accommodation near a bus line or bike trail, so I don’t have to rent a car when I’m there. Hosting garage sales & reselling items.
