The Psychological Science journal reported on a study done in 2014 which showed that feelings of gratitude reduced financial impatience.

I did some research to see what kinds of jobs I could get that paid the most with the least amount of additional training and became a computer programmer. Dr. John Krumboltz, Professor of Educational Psychology at Standford University studies how people choose careers. Luckily, I found that I enjoyed the field and had some talent.
