There are many consumer electronics items that you can purchase used. We bought a lot of our son’s onesies and other items (including a crib) at a consignment shop. Buying used is one way to increase the sustainability of your life. My husband and I purchased refurbished computers.

Thankfully, there are easy ways for us consumers to change this number and make a difference. If you have clothes and furniture that you no longer have use for, donate them to charities or sell them at consignment shops. That is how much trash is being generated from just one country. They will be extremely grateful. Go thrifty.
