Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Use the pulp for pumpkin bread, cookies, pies, soups and more. Like me, buy them used and then reuse them each year. Put your unwanted Halloween decorations out for reuse by donating them.
