We shopped at garage sales, turned down the heat, combined errands to use less gas, didn’t buy a lot of prepared food, cooked at home and the like. Plus he worked hard at entering contests, trying to win things and money – and he did win some – once even a nice bicycle. Peggy: Oh yes!
