Our tablet, laptops, and desktop are all refurbished. We bought a lot of our son’s onesies and other items (including a crib) at a consignment shop. When we bought couches shortly after our marriage, we bought used. We were able to get a great deal on older couches that were very well-built. Baby Items.

My family is much less likely to distract me when I’m working on my desktop computer than when I’m sitting on the couch with my laptop. My husband usually sleeps later than I do, and once I get my son off to school, I have plenty of distraction-free time. The physical separation makes a big difference.

While I sometimes work on the laptop while sitting on the couch, I find I’m more effective in my home office area. I do most of my work while my son is at school and my husband is at university, teaching his classes. Set up a work area that doesn’t have many distractions.
