I have found that garage sales , flea markets , estate sales or Mom/Grandma’s basement are the best places to score a great deal on used canning jars. Canners are readily available for sale at a great discount through online sellers at eBay and Craigslist.

Yard Sales. Yard sale season is just beginning, so you have plenty of time to organize your own sale. Designate an area of your home for gathering all of your yard sale wares together and add pricing stickers as you go so that you don’t have to worry about pricing everything on the day of the sale.

You can then take those old cell phones, clothes or magazines to the appropriate recycling depots, ustilize websites such as Craigslist or Freecycle to give away any items you want cleared out quickly and then have a yard sale or an online auction to rid yourself of those unwanted items that are still in saleable condition.
