I would be doubtful too if someone told me that, but the truth is that it’s rather easy to do if you have a rewards credit card and work hard to maximize your earning potential with it. I use my credit card like a debit card , in that I use it for every purchase I make. Pay any tax bills with the card. Would you believe me?

Show the kids how you are paying and explain the concept (checks, cash, debit, credit, food stamps or whatever). Check the register receipt with them to show them how it lists out the items, the price and the taxes (a great opening to introduce the concept of why we have taxes). Buying gasoline.

These will include things such as insurance, property taxes, gasoline (to get to the lake and to boat on the lake), maintenance, boat slip fees and storage fees in off season. It is one of the signs that you are doing well (or at least have good credit). I even have trouble getting my grown kids to gather there. So why buy?
