Sunrise with my daughter at Lake Michigan Our son is now 15, and about 25 hours into his private pilot’s license, which he’s funding by earning money working for my father-in-law.

I have a rule now that if I want to buy a book, I need to donate one. I also will pay more for some specialty food items, as I have several food allergies to deal with, and we eat a no-sugar diet. I also splurge on our cat’s special allergen-reducing food, which makes it possible for Ms. Also, growing our own food.
