At 8:15 this morning, my youngest daughter climbed on the bus for her first day of first grade. Since the fall of 2005, I have primarily been a stay at home mother to our two daughters. My husband and I agreed early in our marriage that our goal was for me to stay at home with our children. Let us know in the comments.

Then, I only have the weekend to do my work, and I miss out on family time. The other night, my daughter woke me up at 4:30 a.m. After tossing and turning for 15 minutes, I decided to get up and start working. Clearly something had to give, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be sleeping in. because she had a bad dream.

Although I love to cook, our busy lifestyle prevents that from happening more than I’d like. And even though I work from home, I’m constantly on the go with meetings, activities, and socializing.
