We all like to eat out, but if we do it too often, it can get expensive. If you like to eat out a lot, and you would like to save some money, here are few tips to save when dining out. Limit Yourself If you dine out regularly, you can limit the number of times that you go out to save some money.

Total: $5-$10 (snacks in our case, gas) Wine and Comedy When you come home on Friday night from a long week, it’s so nice to just laugh a little. One of my favorite things to do if we’re staying in is watch comedy shows for my favorite comedians on YouTube and have a (big) glass of wine. I would love to hear your ideas. Still, it is.

And what I found was that completely cutting out those things that I considered “mediocre”, the things that weren’t totally, mindblowingly satisfying and worth every calorie, gave me a lot more freedom to indulge in the things I REALLY love- chocolate, wine, pasta, etc.

I stayed on track until Friday when we went out to dinner for my sister in laws birthday and while I didn’t go overboard I did have a drink, some appetizer, a steak, a couple bites of dessert etc. Then Jamie and I went to the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and well, you know how that goes.

This was a good week for both of us – we didn’t eat out at all and I even passed up pizza during a lunch meeting at work in favor of my Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes lunch! And the desserts! Weight loss this week: 1.8 Total weight loss since start of program: 17.5 We are both just chugging along with our Nutrisystem!
