There is an initial investment, but I have seen similiar containers at yard sales or thrift stores and at Bed Bath and Beyond where they regularly offer 20% coupons. I love my Pyrex Glass Storage Containers with the blue plastic lids. I have 4 different sizes.

Growing up in the fifties made me everlastingly grateful for a number of things, such as hot running water, central air conditioning, automatic dishwashers, TV remote control, the internet, personal computers (typewriters really sucked – no backspacing!), There were no dishwashers (other than us kids!). Neighbors knew each other.

Homemade Iced Tea: Ignore the tea stains on the pitcher! Dishwasher Detergent: I avoid the expensive dishwasher detergent tabs and use powdered dishwasher detergent instead. I run my dishwasher almost every night. Five dollars divided by 180 times = 3 cents per dishwasher use AND I have a lot leftover in the box.
