When we bought our first home , we knew we would eventually try to move up to a better neighborhood so we only did DIY inexpensive or absolute necessity projects to the house. We especially never put anything consumable (like gas, food, eating out, movies and etc) on a credit card. We didn’t have a clothes dryer.
