My favorite thrift store has a section dedicated to seasonal items. The number and variety of Halloween items in this thrift store surprised me. Even the dogs are getting into the act. I saw little Mexican hats in Walmart the other day – part of a dog’s Halloween costume!

So, it’s OK to want stuff, to get stuff, to give stuff, to use stuff, and to get rid of stuff. Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes. You start to give a bit of stuff away. Moving to a bigger home.

Here is a short list of some of my favorite finds at garage, estate and thrift store sales. I used an old seat cushion I had and wrapped it with brand new material from another garage sale to pretty it up and make it softer, then stacked new throw pillows I found at yet another sale for $.50 New ones are around $25.
