As we come upon the holiday season, I wanted to take a minute to share some ideas for giving. If you have little money to donate, but have an overflowing stockpile, this opportunity is perfect. Even if you can’t prepare the entire box, find a church or organization that is accepting donations!

You can also take advantage of tax free holidays, and you can set up clothing exchange clubs with your friends. A good way to make friends at your local thrift stores is to bring in your old clothing and donate it. Tax Free Holidays Some cities and towns offer periodic tax free weekends or weeks.

My mother’s church is hosting a communtity Thanksgiving dinner for the needy and is need of donations. total, my son dug into his pockets and pulled out a dollar. He wanted to pay for the donation to the community dinner and thanks to your comments, he was able to contribute! Just in time for the holidays!
