For many, the end of the year holiday shopping frenzy can override our saner, more thrifty selves. What should you wait to buy until after the holidays? Obviously, anything with decorations related to the holidays will most likely be reduced in price right after Christmas. Most claimed that the holiday sales were of no-name TVs.

I had no emotional attachment to any of it and I was happy to make that money right before the holidays. But that store credit is much better than sending it to the thrift store as a donation.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Buy one then sell, donate or exchange it. Decorate for the next fall holiday with it. Put your unwanted Halloween decorations out for reuse by donating them. Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Free Kids Crafts has some ideas.

While I like to shop at thrift stores, I have a hard time finding TALL length jeans for my 5’10 frame and I was in need of new jeans. I don’t shop there too often, because it’s not a convenient location for me, but I always stock up on their holiday store brand sale. We decided to donate the turkey to the food bank.
