If you don’t have kids, donate these items to local day cares and schools. Buy energy smart. Get creative. Reuse scrap paper and envelopes. Go thrifty.

Any bills for big purchases like jewelry, appliances, computers, etc, should be kept permanently for insurance and warranty purposes. Receipts - Keep until the warranty expires or you can no longer return the item. Permanent home improvement bills should also be kept while you still own your home.

Make files for all your categories like medical, donations and the like. File receipts alphabetically so you have instant access to them incase you need to use a warranty or return an item to the store. The last thing you need is to have a bill turned over to collections, especially if you can make payment arrangements.
