Kelly got me a gift certificate to Target for my b-day. And I got this dress. So Kelly got me this dress. THANK YOU Kelly. I LOVE it. I felt so FUN in this dress. And so PRETTY. I love love love a new dress. I even left it on when we met friends for dinner and normally I love a chance to change into a second outfit. Look at the adorable racer back! These are still basically my all time favorite earrings.

According to the New York Post , Rachel Zoe is seriously pissing off her celebrity clients like Debra Messing and Cameron Diaz. So much so, that Debra supposedly gave the tiny fashionista a pink slip! Her clients are annoyed that Zoe is working on her reality show too much and losing focus when it comes to her first job (and the reason she even has a TV show), styling.

I know you might not be ready to see yourself in a swimsuit, but Memorial Day will be here before you know it and Forever 21 has just launched their first ever swimwear collection! They have a variety of bikinis and even a few monokinis…which I’m not a huge fan of. I hate regular bikini tan lines, so I can’t even imagine having to deal with the tan lines from those things!

I can’t live without my MAC which is why I love my iMac…it’s lightweight, does everything my desktop can, and even though it’s not the shiny new silver one, I still love it and honestly…I’m partial to the old school white ones!! With such a sleek and stylish laptop, I can’t be expected to put it into one of those dorky, computer cases that they sell at Office Depot, so I’ve been searching for just the right case to carry my laptop in.

I’m a heels girl, for sure…but I also can’t pretend that I don’t carry a pair of flats in my bag to change into on the walk to/from work! There’s no way I can get through an entire day in a pair of 4″ stilettos and unfortunately, my budget doesn’t have room in it for a chauffeured town car to shuttle me around the city at my beckon call!

I admire Kate Hudson for her ability to be so carefree with everything…movies, travel, men, and style. She’s a true fashion chameleon and always manages to look great whether she’s all dolled up on the red carpet, in her day-to day life or on the cover of a fashion magazine as pictured her. I love this dress, it’s from Loves Me Not at Etsy. She’s such a doll. I can’t recommend her enough. When I bought it, it was a romper, but it was too short in “the rise” as my mom would say, so rather than part with it, I took it to the tailor and had it made into a dress. I love it. But I can’t really breathe in it. Ha!~ It’s very fitted, plus I always cinch it with a belt.

I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about this before but I love black and brown together. Specifically an all or mostly black ensemble with brown shoes/bag/belt. Naturally I loved this outfit. The dress is one from mark that is not on the website yet, I was able to get it early as a rep. It’s super comfortable, so soft and I felt really good in it. PLUS, it has a low back, all the better to showcase the tassel I put on the necklace I made myself a while back!

One of the biggest trends we saw last night was all of the the pale colors in shades of white, ivory, and nude. While I’m not usually a fan on these colors on the red-carpet something about it made it feel fresh and modern this year. I’m so tired of always seeing black and clearly so were Hollywood’s leading ladies. The pleating, ruching, embroidery and lace details on each one of these gowns made them truly spectacular and unique in their own way.

This blue Galliano did her no favors and it looks like some horrible, half-finished prom dress from the 80’s! Sorry about the small selection as well as the indoor pics today. I didn’t get home until 9:30 or so. I had a wonderful night with my church community, eating homemade Indian food and talking. I got these boots at GAP kids last fall. Nathan doesn’t like them But I love them. They are super comfortable, and I almost always have at least one girl stop me and ask where I got them.

I am working again. Which means I am getting dressed. Yay. This is my second week and mostly I am trying to just get used to the grind again. Putting together an outfit and taking pictures has just been too much extra. Until today. Which is cool, because I really loved this outfit.
