We consider her our “bonus kid” and our family is extremely close. When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. Aside from those exceptions, we did all the work ourselves and with the help of family. Our son is 29 and biological. Go figure.
