If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. But, find one in a high end neighborhood, one where the store sorts through the donations to select only the best. That way, I can hit a lot of sales in just a few hours instead of spending time and gasoline driving around town. Books and DVDs.

Make it be known that that that there is nothing wrong in purchasing second-hand items from thrift stores, yard sales, or via classified ads or even online via places like eBay or Craigslist. You can even reward them with extra allowance with the money saved on gasoline and car upkeep.

People opened their windows and used attic fans or sat in metal lawn chairs outside to cool off. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms. Ours was smaller (about 700 square feet) – 2 bedrooms (my brother and I shared one and my parents the other), a kitchen and a living room, No basement or garage.
