On really, really cold nights, we put an electric fan in front of the open under sink cabinets to circulate warm air into it. Spackle substitute.

I should add: obviously if you buy bulk foods from a packaging-free/low-packaging store, then it makes sense to put that food into containers. This is an expensive hobby I know some people probably just do this restocking for fun, which is fine. To be clear, I AM a big fan of reusable containers! Ready to be de-influenced?
