Not bashing dinner-and-a-movie (because that is super fun too), but spending all day riding attractions, watching parades and fireworks, and eating Disney goodies is about as good as dating can get! My Dad spent weeks planning a 10th-anniversary surprise for my Mom and even enlisted the help of the staff at Artist Point. Ride rides!!

One of our FAVORITE ways to save on food is by ordering kids’ meals! Being the broke 20-somethings we are, we tried to spend the least amount of money on food as possible, while still being satisfied. Now, many of you know by now that I am a girl that loves food and eating. I suggest grabbing a booth by the windows.

Limiting waste is what really drives most of the habits I have that would qualify as “frugal” – reducing/eliminating food waste, returning unneeded items, pursuing refunds, checking on warranties, repairing things, etc. For me, being in the kitchen and making food for people is an act of love.

I learned to save money by watching my parents. (I Our mom stayed home to raise us kids; she went to work part-time in the local school system after both my brother and I were in school. My dad was a blue-collar worker – a machine operator on the railroad who sometimes got laid off for periods of time in the winter.
