In Huffington Post article Boomers Give New Meaning To Spoiling The Grandkids author Linda Stern reported: “Roughly 36 percent of the grandparents surveyed by AARP said “spoiling (grand)children by buying them too much” was a part of a grandparent’s financial role.”. It’s my grandkid!”.

We received the information about our family in October, so I took advantage of the holiday sales to buy the gifts and food. The family that we “adopted” was a grandmother (I will call her Tanya, but not her real name) and her 3 grandkids. I helped Tanya unpack our food boxes and reviewed with her what we brought.
