Restaurant food was just cheaper than when I cooked meals myself, because at that time I couldn’t cook any Chinese food, and Western food needed things like olive oil, cheese, butter, pasta…all expensive in China because they have to be imported. Another thing I splurge on is stays in hotels.

The resort is undergoing a massive renovation this summer and I can only image that it will get even better than it already is! The hotel lobby has a bar right in the middle of it and once per month is the venue for a Girl’s Night out, a free event to showcase local boutiques.

The truck rental itself came out to around $2,000, the gas would have cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000, a plane ticket out to where my storage facility would run about $200, and then I would have had to pay for food and hotels on my drive back. I was looking at somewhere near $4,000. Go Frugal'
