There was the gas, the hotel, and the restaurants to pay for. I bring a hot plate and a skillet and sauce pan with me to the hotel to reheat freezer meals that I’ve made in advance. Use discounts on rental cars. Use hotel rewards. Ask for a better hotel rate or room. Visit free attractions.

I recently stayed at Drury, and the nightly reception included THREE free alcoholic beverages. BEFORE booking a hotel or cabin, visit the website or app and sign up for their mailing list. Loyalty can pay off.
