Many years ago, I got a little wooden chest from freecycle. The freecycle chest is pretty small. Sonia and I went to pick it up and I brought it home to sand and paint it. You can see some “after” pictures of it here, in this tour of Lisey’s room at the other house.

Try placing a ‘wanted’ ad on Gumtree or rummaging around in the Freecycle community. Did you know you can pick up an old caravan for very little money, if not free? Trawl the Friday ad classifieds or ask around. The tattier it is, the cheaper it should be. Just made sure its structural integrity is. read more.
