Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well. Campsites are cheaper than hotel rooms, and because we can carry our own food with us, we don’t spend as much on restaurant meals. We saved $105.00
