As an alternative, head over to Walmart, Target, or another large retailer and pick a Slip ‘n Slide, or make your own , and buy some water guns or water balloons. Waterparks are a great summer attraction, but by the time you add in the cost of admission, parking, and meals, you end up spending a lot of money.

Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. Or we could go to the local Walmart where everyone could pick out an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s for themselves that would last for several days, and we’d still have enough money left over for whipped cream and cherries.

When I finally get the board design the way I want it for Money Camp, I will draw it up in Paint or maybe in a free open source product called InkScape and then take it up to a local printer and have it printed out to the size I want (I’m hoping I can use Walmart for this).
