So Giant is making a statement this week – apparently Gas Deals are NOT DEAD…I know that there was mass hysteria in July. How exciting is it to see such great gas deals, actually deals period. Now that the kids are back to school, Labor Day has come and gone, we should start to see sales pick up. WOOT WOOT!

The cost of gas and my time were the only expenses. Every weekend I would find the sales, use up gas and time driving around to them, and looking for old things. In between times, I would go up to the booth to dust and re-arrange (to make it look like I had new stuff when I really didn’t), and work my required days in the mall.

School started after Labor Day and ended after Memorial Day. Young men ran out to fill your tank, check your oil, try your tire pressure and wipe your windshield when you stopped for gas. Heck, there were barely chain guards! There were lots of kids to play with (we were the baby boom after all). Kids walked to school.
