So typically, the only brick-and-mortar store I go to the day after Thanksgiving is a grocery store. Grocery stores are wonderfully empty right after Thanksgiving! Friday We’ve got leftovers, so that’s probably what we will eat tonight. For example, you can buy a $50 Bath and Body Works gift card for $40.

Monday A friend treated me to tacos, and Zoe ate her leftover burrito. Tuesday I got back late from an orientation about an hour away, so I popped by Panera and picked up dinner for Zoe and me, using a gift card from my credit card rewards. $0 0 out of pocket for me! I didn’t even cut up any fruit. It is what it is.

She was feeling kinda sad and isolated since she can’t drive; I took her out to a little Mexican restaurant near where she lives, and then she treated us both to a massage, since she had a gift card. and then I went home and made an alfredo sauce for pasta, with some kale and leftover ham mixed in. unbaked, obviously!
