I really wanted to reduce our grocery spending for my family of 4 from the average of $634 a month in 2013 to a budget of $450 a month in 2014. It was a bold goal to reduce our spending by so much and I knew I would have to be very diligent with my meal planning. There is nothing worse than a family revolting in the kitchen.
