How much debt did you pay off? What kind of debt was it? It was a mix of college loans, a personal loan from my parents (for college), an overdraft account, and credit card debt. What inspired you to get debt free? I had tried a lot of different things to get out of debt but nothing worked.

I also find that setting goals makes a difference. Consumerism Commentary asks us if we are better off than our parents ?
