When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. Now I wish those dollars had gone into our savings accounts. Part of the appeal of the area in which we live is that there are plenty of inexpensive opportunities for outdoor recreation.
