So, instead of trying to cram my hubby, my grandson, myself and all of our travel things into my little Toyota Camry Solara (read that convertible with very little trunk space), I’m looking for a mid-sized SUV to rent for a couple of weeks. There was the gas, the hotel, and the restaurants to pay for. Now that there are 5 members of our family, we easily save at least $100 a day every day that we’re on vacation and eating our own food. I bring a hot plate and a skillet and sauce pan with me to the hotel to reheat freezer meals that I’ve made in advance.
