My sister-in-law and her husband had one that they used and rented out and indicated that it was doing well. Unfortunately, I was over optimistic about how many days per year the condo would rent. I was counting on an average of 4 months rentals. For the first few years, I used the on site manager to run the property rentals.

Businesses are more likely to issue discounts and coupons to fill empty rooms. Another cost to factor into flying is whether or not you’ll need a rental car when you arrive at your destination. Having our own car means we don’t have to rent one and we can bring a LOT from home. Avoid weekends.
