Today a poor person in America probably has access to electricity, telephones, food, indoor plumbing, central heat and public transportation. Dad grew up on his parent’s farm with a wood stove, an outhouse and kerosene lamps. It stayed warm, but we still stood by the stove in the morning to warm our front and backsides up.
