So I took advantage of some good sales at Kohl’s and Target and bought her running capris, socks and two spring outfits. But I also found success at a thrift store. While at Target, I caught myself eyeing their basic, but cute short sleeved T-shirts. Can I find what I need at a second hand or thrift store?

That’s because it’s Sunday night as I’m writing this, I don’t have any Meet a Reader submissions in the queue, and I needed a somewhat quick post to write because I’ve spent allll day studying for my Monday exam. I will say, GenZ is not afraid to thrift, and I love that!

In 2015, the monthly challenge will be Choose Thrift First. Too often, I resort to the mall or Target when I need or want something. While I love thrift stores, I can be easily swayed to run into Target or Kohl’s when I’m in that part of town. Can I find what I need at a second hand or thrift store?

Saturday was Nathan’s birthday, and we had plans to meet a friend for dinner and drinks and then meet a few more friends downtown to see a couple bands play. And I got it at Target. That big, dramatic necklace is actually a chain I got at a thrift store for about 50 cents and a focal piece for Michael’s craft store.
