Interactive museums - I love a normal museum, but I think the creativity of museums that are interactive and more than just looking at art on a wall or things in a case are next level. I've been doing more lately, but some of my favorites have been Hopscotch Portland , Arte Museum and Omega Mart in Las Vegas.

If you want to buy such items, do so at larger stores rather than the little shops within theme parks or in the airport, as you will pay much more. It could be fun to be a hometown tourist and visit your local museums and venues. Buying one small item usually won’t hurt the budget, but getting several of them certainly will.
