We rent now and are much happier. People are surprised that we are in our fifties and renting, but it works for us.

Grandparenthood Can Be Expensive!

I’ve seen the nieces and my own kids ask for and get babysitting services time after time from a busy working boomer. In my experience, my kids expect more of me for their kids than I expected of my parents for mine. It never occurred to me to ask Mom or Mom-in-law to come watch my kids.

I was an eBay seller in college and made a decent living drop-shipping items from big box stores. She finds most of the products she sells at yard sales and Goodwill outlets, where you pay a set price per pound.
