Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Mom’s black cape, some makeup and a piece of cardboard cut and painted black to make bats ears can make someone into Dracula. If you sew, take off the buttons, zippers, lace, netting or whatever to use later. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween? Re-purpose the used costume.

Empty coffee cans are great for holding paint or turpentine or bacon grease. Once we used old magazines for a craft project in Camp Fire Girls to make a ‘sit upon’ (cover the magazine with something water repellent and sew the sides together).
