We all hear it – “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. Recycling can often be easy but I love finding opportunities to Reuse. Use a toilet paper roll as kindling for a fire. Toilet paper rolls can make great seed starters. Toilet paper rolls make great bird feeder crafts for kids. Cover ten rolls with white butcher paper.

Ditch the Wrapping Paper. Between wrapping paper, tape, boxes, and bows, a lot of nearly new materials are thrown away. Gift bags and bows can be reused year after year. While they may eventually wear out, reusing them can at least reduce the impact. Reuse Whatever You Can. Wrapping gifts can create a lot of waste.

Most seeds will dry nicely on a paper towel. Mark the towel with the name of the plant and the date and then transfer that information along with the seeds to a paper envelope for storage once they are completely dry. Cut that amount dramatically by collecting the seeds from the best fruits and vegetables in your garden.
