My wedding dress, thrifted! I have an English degree and I work in scholarly book publishing as an editor (developmental and acquiring editor, not the grammar and spelling kind of editor). I mostly work remotely which is very, very nice. Currently, my fiancé and I are working to pay off the house early.

Save on Gas and Transportation. Old puzzle mats would also work, but you won’t be able to roll them up. If not, go to a local thrift store or go online on eBay/Craigslist and get yourself one. Make a daily meal plan so you’ll know exactly what food to bring and how much. Bring Old Stuff. Borrow or buy a used tent.

Make it be known that that that there is nothing wrong in purchasing second-hand items from thrift stores, yard sales, or via classified ads or even online via places like eBay or Craigslist. Public transportation can also be a great alternative depending on the area and your comfort level. And vice versa!)
