I have definitely blogged about prepaid cards before and how I think they can be really great for sticking to a budget as well as for security issues. These cards are best for those who want to really control their spending and keep to a budget. Having a card instead of cash is also safer.

I will definitely continue to use the card because it’s so simple and I don’t have to carry cash but still get the same budgeting tool cash gives me. The American Express Prepaid card is: FREE to get. A GREAT budgeting tool – you can only spend the money you put on the card.

I’ve added money to the card in all3 ways I was able: by charging money on my other American Express card, by debiting it from my bank account and by purchasing a MoneyPak and adding the funds to the card. I used the American Express Prepaid card just as I would have my other credit cards.

I have been an American Express cardholder for over 10 years and love the flexibility my Amex card gives me and the superb customer service I have always received from Amex.
