We didn’t carry over credit card balances, we paid off our car notes early, and the interest rate on the student loan was at a low 2.75%. Our personal finances are so interwoven with our small business finances that we view them as one. At times the plan felt intimidating, but it also changed the direction of our finances.

At the end of 2016, our finances were affected in such a dramatic way by health insurance that my husband and I made a very deliberate decision to leave the traditional model for a very non-traditional and somewhat unknown option: health cost sharing ministry. We chose the $10,000 AHP with Medi-Share to keep our monthly expense low.
