Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. I look for the neighborhood sales, which are usually either in spring or fall.

The list doesn’t have to be organized yet, because the idea is to just get everything down. Organize The List. After making the list, organize it into sub topics. Organize the list that you just made into subtopics which will make the list easier to read. Book Time To Finish It. Start With The Easy Stuff.

I painted it and added some fun baskets to it for organizing as well. The picnic basket in the middle was an estate sale find and the little one on top.came from a garage sale. Do you use baskets to organize your house? Do you see the Baker's Rack in the picture too? They fit perfectly in the small basket!

Sure, once in a while a garage will be broken into and a car or some high-end items will be taken, but for the most part garages are left alone whenever a criminal decides to break into a home. Most everyone, including thieves, have seen or heard of the safes designed to look like beer cans, books, or wall power outlets.

I took at least three trunks full of “stuff” to Goodwill, I had a garage sale, and I sold things online. I’ve taken pictures of my son’s favorite preschool paintings and drawings, and when I see a good deal on photo books, I’m going to create one for him and toss the originals. Get Organized'

Pay attention to expiration dates by organizing your pantry and freezer so that the oldest food is in front. There have been countless times I have seen nearly new, decorator pieces being sold for pennies on the dollar at garage sales because the homeowner decided to re-decorate. Avoid re-decorating your home every few years.
