I just put 5 cups in my freezer and many young beans are still on the plants. I wasn't always a huge fan of green beans. Strain and transfer beans to ice water for several minutes to cool down Lay beans out on cookie sheet and stick the pan in the freezer for an hour or so. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

My hot peppers are growing faster than I can use them, so I popped them in the freezer. I washed them, cut the tops off and because they are long peppers, I cut them in half and put them in a freezer bag. I had 2 cups of pureed roasted butternut squash in the freezer that I wanted to use up. Once the 22 remaining pancakes cooled down, I put them in freezer bags with a small piece of parchment paper in between each cake to prevent sticking. I flipped 2 dozen pancakes swatting little hands out of the way so they wouldn't get burned.
